Case management is processes that plan, assess, coordinate, implement, evaluate and monitor the services and options required to reach the needs of human services and client’s health. Case Management Certification is created with the purpose of promoting professional practices through certification and other related services of case management. These case managers stand for their clients. They take responsibilities in coordinating services on behalf of their clients. They usually work for health and social service agencies and employed by non-government organizations or states. Case Management usually requires degrees on social sciences or social services, but it also varies by state and specific job.

Almost all Case Management Certification educations are created with experienced and professional licensed nurse or social worker aiming to fill any gaps on their students’ skills especially for those wanting to have a certification for the first time. The classes also serve a continuation of their education for certified managers who would like to renew their certificates.

Anyone who wants to have a Case Management Certification must possess the following criteria: they must be a person of good moral, they must reach an acceptable level of quality on their practice, lastly, the person must prove that he has a minimum standard of basic knowledge in terms of processes in case management. The certification has an initial validity of five years. One can achieve this by completing any necessary requirements and by passing the CCM exam. The whole examination comprises of different subjects such as public regulations, laws, and delivery of services in case management based on the United States practices. Having this certification does not guarantee individuals of any slots, employment or any position on agencies. Rather, this certification serves a proof or measure of basic knowledge of individuals in case management. Any information granted by individuals during application and renewal is confidential and only released when duly notified by the applicant, certified individual or by law.

Now, the Commission for Case Manager Certification or CCMC is available on the web. It makes application and renewal easier and faster and can be done in the comfort of your own home. The new method saves paper, time and easy to use. Any support is just standing by online in case you have inquiries while filling up the forms. You must complete an online application form that is allowed only during December 15. As one of the requirements, your employer must submit a verification form of your employment. After that, you must submit your licensure verification data through fax. All information will then be processed and will notify you of your eligibility standing at their website on January 4. You will be given information on what to do next if you are approved. Other processes are done during February and the examination proper takes place during March 1 to 14. The results are then posted on their website on the month of May.
